EV Belgium attaches great importance to the protection of your privacy and personal data. We use your personal data exclusively in accordance with the Privacy Act and other relevant applicable legal provisions. Every reference in this Privacy Policy to the Privacy Act means a reference to the Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data. Every reference to the Regulation is a reference to the Regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

With this Privacy Policy, EV Belgium aims to inform you of any processing operations regarding this data and of your rights. By using our website, you explicitly consent to possible processing operations by EV Belgium.

It is possible that this Privacy Policy may be subject to adjustments and changes in the future. It is up to you to consult this document regularly. Any substantial change will always be clearly communicated on the EV Belgium platform.

2. Who processes the personal data?

We rely on a partner to operate the website. That is Procurios bvba for hosting, the security around the website and the database, and the maintenance of the website and the database. Procurios bvba processes your data in a completely secure manner and according to our instructions and under our supervision. If necessary, we also ensure the conclusion of a processor agreement.

3. Which personal data is processed?

EV Belgium undertakes to process only the data that is relevant and necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. The following categories of personal data may be processed by EV Belgium:

  • Invoicing data

  • Data regarding education and training

4. For what purposes is my personal data used?

EV Belgium collects personal data (including name, first name, gender, email address, telephone number, photo, preferred language, company position, communication preferences, and invoicing address) to offer you a safe, optimal, and personal user experience. The collection of personal data becomes more extensive as you make more intensive use of the website and our online services.

Data processing is essential for the operation of the website and the associated services. The processing is carried out exclusively for the following specific purposes:

  • Offering and improving general and personalised service; including invoicing purposes, provision of information, newsletters and offers that are useful and/or necessary for you, obtaining and processing user reviews, and providing support.

6. What are my rights?

6.1. Guarantee of a lawful and secure processing of personal data

EV Belgium always processes your personal data fairly and lawfully. This includes the following guarantees:

  • Personal data is only processed in accordance with the described and justified purposes of this Privacy Policy.
  • Personal data is only processed insofar as it is adequate, relevant, and not excessive.
  • Personal data is only stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the described and justified purposes in this Privacy Policy.
  • The necessary technical and security measures have been taken to minimise the risks of unauthorised access to or processing of personal data. In the event of a breach of its computer systems, EV Belgium will immediately take all possible measures to minimise the damage.

6.2. Right of access/rectification/erasure of your personal data

Upon proof of your identity as a User, you have the right to obtain confirmation from EV Belgium as to whether or not your personal data is being processed. Furthermore, if EV Belgium is processing your data, you have the right to access the personal data collected. If you wish to exercise your right of access, EV Belgium will comply with this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by sending an e-mail to contact@ev.be

Inaccurate or incomplete personal data can always be corrected. It is primarily up to the User to adjust inaccuracies and incompleteness himself. You can exercise your right to rectification by providing a supplementary statement to EV Belgium. EV Belgium will comply with this within one (1) month of receiving the supplementary statement.

You also have the right to have your personal data erased by us without undue delay. You can only rely on this right to be forgotten in the following cases:

  • When the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected;
  • When the personal data was collected based on acquired consent and there is no other legal basis for the processing;
  • When an objection is made to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing;
  • When the personal data has been processed unlawfully;
  • When the personal data must be erased in accordance with a legal obligation.

EV Belgium will assess the presence of one of the aforementioned cases.

6.3. Right to restriction of/objection to the processing of your personal data

The User has the right to obtain a restriction of the processing of your personal data:

  • During the period EV Belgium needs to verify the accuracy of the personal data, in case of a dispute;
  • When the data processing is unlawful and the User requests a restriction of processing instead of erasure of the personal data;
  • When EV Belgium no longer needs the User's personal data for the processing purposes and the User needs the personal data for a legal claim;
  • During the period EV Belgium needs to assess the presence of the grounds for erasure of personal data.

The User also has the right to object to the processing of their personal data at any time. EV Belgium will subsequently cease the processing of your personal data, unless EV Belgium can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing of your personal data that override the User's right to object.

If the User wishes to exercise these rights, EV Belgium will comply with this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by sending an e-mail to contact@ev.be.

6.4. Right to data portability

The User has the right to receive the personal data provided to EV Belgium in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. In addition, the User has the right to transmit this personal data to another data controller when the processing of the personal data rests solely on the User's obtained consent.

If the User wishes to exercise this right, EV Belgium will comply with this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by sending an e-mail to contact@ev.be.

6.5. Right to withdraw my consent/right to lodge a complaint

The User has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. In addition, the User has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of their personal data by EV Belgium with the Data Protection Authority.

If the User wishes to exercise this right, EV Belgium will comply with this within one (1) month of receiving the request. The request must be made by registered mail or by e-mail to contact@ev.be.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (DPA) at the following addresses:

If you suffer damage as a result of the processing of your personal data, you can institute a claim for compensation.
